I was med boarded in my first month in the army?

back in 2003 i served from feb to march and was med boarded out of the army. My cousin told me that even though i didn't complete my training that because i was med boarded i may be entitled to some benefits including a paycheck. He was active duty and has some knowledge. i really don't want to leach off the government or take a benefit that more honorable men deserve. any real knowledge on this would be helpful.
